Florida Incumbent Worker Training: How to Get Reimbursed for Upskilling

Florida's Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) grant reimburses 50% of direct training costs for current staff, up to 75% for companies with 25 or fewer employees or in rural or distressed areas, up to $100,000 per grant. You apply through CareerSource Florida and must have a signed contract before training starts. Some local boards also run their own employed worker funds with different rates, such as CareerSource South Florida at up to 50%. CareerSource Broward advertises up to 90%; confirm the current rate with the board.
