North Carolina State Training Grants for Employers

North Carolina has two main training programs for employers. NCEdge, run by the community colleges, designs and delivers customized training at no added cost to you, but it is in-kind help, not cash, and it is limited to certain industries and projects. NCWorks Incumbent Worker Training offsets training costs for employees with six or more months on the job; you apply through your local Workforce Development Board and share the cost in cash or in kind.

How much do I have to pay for incumbent worker training?

Is there a separate state cash grant for training new hires?
